Twin Rivers Waterfall, nestled in the rainforest between Goodwood and Pembroke on Tobago’s east coast, is a natural treasure shaped by the convergence of two rivers, the Goldsborough and the Great Rivers.
This hidden cascade lies within the rich tropical biodiversity of the Main Ridge Forest Reserve, the oldest legally protected forest in the Western Hemisphere. The area surrounding the waterfall has long been a part of the island's natural heritage, sustaining both wildlife and local communities for generations.
The name “Twin Rivers” comes from the merging waterways that feed the falls, forming a series of shallow pools and smooth rock formations that create an ideal space for quiet exploration and freshwater bathing. Accessed by a scenic 40-minute hike along a riverbed trail, the journey offers views of towering bamboo, tropical flora, and glimpses of endemic bird species native to Tobago.
Today, Twin Rivers Waterfall is a featured highlight of our Eco Hike Tour, offering a serene and immersive look into Tobago’s unspoiled natural beauty, a perfect stop for hikers, nature lovers, and anyone seeking to experience the island’s untouched rainforest interior.
