Tucked beneath Tobago’s lush landscape lies a quiet piece of history.
Believed to be part of the old cart bridge from the former Runnemede Estate, this structure dates back to the colonial era, when estates relied on routes like these to move goods across the island. Today, signs of natural wear are evident along the stonework, a reminder of the passage of time and the island’s rich heritage.
Even in its ageing state, this hidden spot offers a unique glimpse into Tobago’s past, where history and nature continue to intertwine.
