Standing proudly above Scarborough, the lighthouse at Fort King George is a quiet reminder of Tobago’s rich colonial past.

Originally built as part of the historic fort, dating back to the late 1700s, this site once played a key role in protecting the island from invasion. The lighthouse itself was added later to guide ships safely along Tobago’s coastline, overlooking the Atlantic with uninterrupted views.

Today, Fort King George is one of the best-preserved historical sites on the island, offering visitors a chance to step back in time while taking in some of the most breathtaking views in Tobago.
